Self-caricature by Fernando de Castro: it shows a male figure in profile, elegantly dressed with 3-piece black suit, white handkerchief in the pocket, shirt with a very high starched collar, patterned tie, hat on head, shoes with spats, lit cigar in mouth, walking cane under his left arm.

Fernando de Castro was the owner of the house that today is the museum with his name. Besides being a collector, he possessed artistic talent, especially visible in the original arrangement of the house that he left and also manifested in a series of caricatures of characters of his time and by his humorous drawings that are on display here.
