Frontispiece from an album of 85 engravings in aqua-fortis, embracing great part of the artist's work, in three series: “Figurine”, “The Triton Group” and “Large Formats”, the latter being the work of G. B. Piranési. The engravings are signed in variations of the artist’s name: S Rosa; SR; and Salvatore Rosa Inv. Sculp.

Printed posthumously, it may have been executed by Piranési in the second half of the 18th century, a dating based on the last engraving of the album, the portrait of Nicola Zabbaglia, engraved in Rome in 1764.
