Not only does it deal with the faience collections of this museum, which organised the publication, but also the other institutions in the area associated with the project, such as the Town Halls of Porto and Gaia, the Ateneu Comercial do Porto and the Fundação Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro. It also suggests some routes to follow, starting from the Museum, to see buildings distinguished by their facings and decoration in ceramic tiles. As well as the collections, the study examines the origins, functions, factories, archaeological sites and the laboratory analysis of faience.
